Avani Kejriwal, a commerce student from Ranchi, has passed CBSE Class 12 after the re-evaluation of her results allowed her to move up to 500 out of 500.After the review process, Avni’s marks increased by 24. When a CBSE Class 12 Results announced in May, Avni scored 95.2%. He had already secured all marks in Accountancy, Economics and Applied Mathematics. However, he was surprised by his results in English and Business Studies and decided to ask for a review.Talking about her decision, Avni said that English was always her favorite subject and her strongest field. He told ANI, “Everyone is very happy right now. We weren’t expecting 500 marks, but everyone is very happy. I had 19 marks removed from English, which I didn’t expect. English is my favorite subject and it was very strong. That’s why I asked for a review. There were also 5 marks removed from Business Studies.Repetition helped him. After retesting, his marks were revised upwards, giving him full marks in five core business subjects – English Core, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Applied Mathematics.

  • Avni Kejriwal is a Class 12 commerce student of Delhi Public School (DPS), SAIL Township, Dhurwa, Ranchi.
  • He became one of the top business toppers in the country after scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 in the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation examination.
  • Avni is the daughter of Ranchi businessman Mitesh Kejriwal and real estate developer Poonam.
  • He initially scored 95.2% in the board exam. His score card showed 81 marks in English and 95 in Business Studies, while he had already scored 100 marks in Accountancy, Economics and Applied Mathematics.
  • Unsatisfied with the marks awarded in English and Business Studies, he asked for a review because he believed his work had been assessed incorrectly.
  • Avni said she checked her Business Studies answers with the CBSE model answer key and found no reason to deduct the marks, prompting her to revise.
  • He plans to pursue a career in business and finance and is currently looking for options for higher education in Delhi and Bengaluru.
