The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026, bringing thousands of people closer to the declaration of results and the start of the university admission process.Candidates who appeared for the exam can now get the final answer key through the official CUET portal. The release follows a review of objections raised by students against the temporary answer key. After analyzing the problems, the board left seven questions from the final answer key.This comes on the heels of the country’s main immigration exam which concluded earlier this month. CUET UG 2026 was conducted between May 11 and June 7 in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at several centers across the country.
Seven questions were removed after review
The final answer was prepared after experts reviewed the objections raised by the respondents. The provisional answer key was published on June 9, while students were allowed to submit challenges until June 11.Following the review, the NTA decided to remove seven questions from the exam. The answer key released now is final, and candidates will not be allowed to contest any more. No marks will be awarded for questions left unanswered by candidates.
Great participation across the country
CUET UG 2026 witnessed massive participation. According to the NTA survey, 15,68,866 people registered for the exam.Many students opted for the number of courses allowed under the revised exam. A total of 8,69,959 people enrolled in five courses, while 3,63,096 opted for four courses. Another 2,93,660 applied for three courses, 31,011 opted for two courses, and 11,140 enrolled for only one course.The exam made about 67.56 lakh exams and was conducted in more than 35 sessions.
Revised exam format
This year’s CUET UG was conducted in 37 subjects, including 13 languages, 23 area-specific subjects and one General Aptitude Test.Under the revised system, students were allowed to choose five core subjects, including language papers and aptitude tests. Each paper had 50 compulsory questions and lasted 60 minutes.Testing was conducted entirely in CBT mode.
The data for the city distribution shows good quality
The NTA data also shows the number of people who want to be satisfied with the city sectors. Approximately 96.6 percent of respondents received one of their preferred cities, while approximately 79 percent were given their first choice city.The figures reflect efforts to improve the management of candidates for India’s biggest exam.
