Bijendra Nath Tiwari, the brother of acclaimed Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathihas been admitted to hospital after suffering critical injuries in being attacked with ‘sharp weapons’ in Bihar.According to IANS, Bijendra has been admitted to a hospital in Patna for treatment. Posting a video of his arrival at the hospital, the agency wrote in a tweet: “Bijendra Nath Tiwari, sustained critical injuries in an attack with sharp weapons related to an old dispute. He was shifted to Patna for advanced treatment, while police formed a special team and launched raids to arrest the accused.”According to Navbharat Times, the attack took place in Belsand village under the jurisdiction of Madhopur police station. The report alleges that the assailants targeted Tiwari over a “long-standing feud”.The report also alleges that the attackers, who were lurking in the village, “suddenly attacked him with sharp weapons”. The attack left him seriously injured, and family members rushed him to Sadar Model Hospital for emergency treatment. While administering first aid, doctors described his condition as “extremely critical”.Hence, the medical team referred him to Patna for advanced medical care. He is currently undergoing treatment under the supervision of specialist doctors.Meanwhile, a special police team has been set up to identify and arrest those responsible for the attack.On the work front, Pankaj Tripathi will soon be seen in the highly anticipated theatrical release of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the film has an ensemble cast that includes Ali Fasal, Rasika Duggal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Ravi Kishan, Abhishek Banerjee, Shweta Tripathi, Mohit Malik, Sheeba Chadha, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Sonal Chauhan among others.
