SSC ASO LDCE Recruitment 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued notification for Assistant Section Officer (ASO)/Assistant Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) 2026, announcing 341 posts across Central Secretariat Service (CSS) and Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Eligible candidates in the departments can apply online through the official SSC portal from June 25, 2026, to July 16, 2026.The recruitment process includes a computer based test which is scheduled for August 2026. The test will be conducted only at the centers located in Delhi-NCR.Job details and recruitment processThis job seeks to fill 341 posts under Central Secretariat Service and Ministry of External Affairs through Limited Departmental Competitive Examination. Only qualified candidates in the departments will be able to apply according to the recruitment process set by the committee. Candidates must complete the online application process within the notification period. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. The board also mentioned the last dates for the department to issue printed documents and for candidates going abroad or posted to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.Application processThe notification was released on June 25, 2026, and the online application window opened on the same day. Candidates can send their applications till 11.00 pm on July 16, 2026.Departments must submit printed application forms by July 23, 2026, while expatriate candidates, including those in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, have until July 30, 2026, to complete the requirements.Application processApplications should be submitted through the official SSC portal at ssc.gov.in. Before filling the application form, applicants who have not registered on the new portal must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.The agency has advised the applicants to complete the registration and submit their applications within the stipulated time. The online exam is scheduled in August 2026 and will be held at Delhi-NCR test centers only. Other updates, including the release of the answer key, are expected, and as of today, have not been released.
