Raghava Lawrence sheds light on the competition in Trichy East
Putting an end to rumours, Raghava Lawrence categorically said, “I will not contest from Trichy East. Joining politics today and immediately becoming an MLA is not dharma.” Explaining his decision, he added, “Vijay may have already chosen someone for this constituency, or there may be many dedicated TVK workers who have been serving the party for years. The opportunity should go to one of them, not me.” His statement has effectively dismissed reports that he would enter the election fray from Trichy East under the banner of TVK.
The actor opens up about family, social services and political plans
Raghava Lawrence also spoke about the personal side of his political journey. “After all the recent controversy, my mother told me again not to enter politics,” he revealed. However, he said his desire to serve society remains unchanged. Pointing to his social work, he said: “For more than 20 years, I have been helping people, especially people with disabilities. I am not someone who speaks irresponsibly or intentionally hurts others.“He addressed certain misunderstandings regarding his previous statements and highlighted his dedication to public life.
