Members of parliament review the work of the central government, review the CSAT and the recruitment process
The issue of people getting jobs in central government departments has started to rise again when the parliamentary standing committee on Monday reviewed the recruitment process in various ministries and departments. The panel, led by BJP leader and former IPS officer Brij Lal, reviewed the performance of government agencies to cater to the underserved and discussed the main points of civil service exams, including the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).The meeting also involved reviewing the progress of the recruitment process and understanding whether the tasks in the various departments are being completed on time.
The committee oversees the work of all departments
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Brij Lal said that the committee has also reviewed the number of places that are currently working in the central departments of the government and how they are being used to carry out these tasks.The group investigated the details of whether recruitment activities were carried out against the available positions and how progress has been made in reducing the gap between applicants and filled. The review is part of the committee’s primary responsibility to oversee issues related to labor management and public grievances.Recruitment has always been a concern in government departments, making it an important issue for policymakers and policymakers to consider.
The performance of recruitment agencies is reviewed
During the discussion, the group also reviewed the performance of key agencies responsible for recruitment in the government.These included the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).These organizations are responsible for recruiting people suitable for various jobs in the government, from the government to the minister and technical.The committee examined how these agencies manage recruitment and deal with existing jobs.
Civil Services Examination and CSAT discussed
Apart from vacancies, the committee also conducted the Civil Services Examination, which is one of the most competitive recruitment processes.A major part of the discussion revolved around the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT), which is conducted as part of the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination.
