Madonna has admitted that her iconic career in high heels has caused her physical problems. The 67-year-old icon recently opened up about her fitness regimen and the adjustments she’s been forced to make due to knee damage she’s suffered from decades of dancing.Speaking to Interview magazine, Madonna was candid about the wear and tear her body has suffered throughout her career. The Queen of Pop has explained that she no longer exercises every day due to the deterioration of her knee joint, a condition she attributes directly to the demands of her profession and training practices.

“I have a bad knee now. I have no cartilage, thanks to dancing for so long in high heels and running on the sidewalk and doing Ashtanga yoga,” Madonna said in the post. He went on to explain that until relatively recently, he had maintained an intense fitness routine that put considerable strain on his joints.“Up until a year ago, I was jumping on trampolines and doing dance cardio and doing a lot of what a doctor would call loading on my joints,” she said. “I can’t do this anymore.”Despite the injury, Madonna has continued to prioritize her physical health and fitness, albeit with modifications designed to protect her compromised knee.

The singer has been transparent about her physical challenges in the past, allowing her fans to understand the impact of sustained performance on her fitness. In October 2019, Madonna was forced to postpone a performance of her Madame X show that had been scheduled at a venue in Brooklyn. He addressed the cancellation directly with his audience via social media.“It is difficult for Madame to admit that she is also a human being made of flesh and blood, and that she must rest for the next 3 days to ensure a full recovery of her knee,” he wrote. “I’m not a quitter. This hurts more than you can imagine. Time to take off those heels and fishnets for a few days!”
