Samantha Ruth Prabhu‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ has maintained a solid hold on the box office. The film registered an impressive jump on its second Friday.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 4.65 crore nett in India on 8th. The figure marks a growth of 75.5% compared to Day 7 when it earned Rs 2.65 crore.
India collections cross Rs 40 crore nett
‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ has now collected Rs 40.50 crore nett in India. The film’s Indian gross has reached Rs 46.83 crore.The film played in 3,074 shows on its second Friday. That was a notable increase from the 2,571 shows on the 7th.The first week concluded with a total India net collection of Rs 35.85 crore. After earning Rs 2.50 crore on Day 6 and Rs 2.65 crore on Day 7, the film bounced back strongly on Friday with Rs 4.65 crore.The original Telugu version brought in Rs 4.40 crore nett on Day 8. The Tamil version added another Rs 25 lakhs.The Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 35.62%. It recorded 19.54% in the morning, 42.38% in the afternoon, 38.38% in the evening and 31.08% in the night.The Tamil version reported an overall occupancy of 25%. It recorded 9.90% in the morning, 29.80% in the afternoon, 18.40% in the evening and 22.70% in the night shows.At the state level, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the biggest markets with a gross of Rs 4.10 crore on Day 8. Karnataka contributed Rs 82 lakhs while Tamil Nadu added Rs 40 lakhs. Kerala collected Rs 1 lakh and rest of India contributed Rs 7 lakh. Total India gross for day 8 was Rs 5.40 crore.
Global gross reaches Rs 65.13 crore
The film also continued its steady run overseas. It collected Rs 35 lakhs overseas on 8. With this, the international gross has gone up to Rs 18.30 crore. Combined with the domestic collections, the worldwide gross now stands at Rs 65.13 crore.Critical reception has also remained favorable. ETimes awarded the film 3.5 out of 5 stars.The publication’s review said, “Samantha anchors the film with confidence and conviction. She moves comfortably between quieter emotional scenes and physically demanding action blocks, without Swarna ever becoming a one-note action heroine.
