Australian radio star Kris Fade has refused to take his dream radio job after weeks of speculation from listeners. The 46-year-old reflected on his decision to leave Sydney for good 19 years ago, making Dubai his new home. While he admitted the decision was difficult, given his roots and childhood, he expressed that he can’t leave the home he built away from Down Under. Kris Fade reveals why he turned down the job in Australia

Fade penned a lengthy note to explain his thoughts on the dream job at KIIS FM, expressing how life threw him a curveball. However, he shared that he would “never say never” to a permanent return to his home country of Australia. “It’s nice to go public. I’ve called Dubai home for 19 years, I can’t pack up and leave. There’s stuff I’ve committed to that will start in a few months, so that was one of the reasons,” he said on The Kris Fade Show on Monday morning.

Fade went on to say that he loves what he created in Dubai with the company, radio, family and his team. “My family is here too – my wife, my sons, my two daughters will finish high school in the next two years. I think packing up and going home now wouldn’t have been easy for them either,” he said, per Nine . Although he often misses life in Australia, he believes he made the right decision. Speaking about his career, the 46-year-old host dropped hints about doing one of the biggest things, which will be revealed to the public in 12 months.
