Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan was questioned by customs officials as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged luxury vehicle smuggling case. According to the latest reports, the actor and filmmaker has not yet asked for the provisional release of the remaining vehicles.Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan appeared before officials on July 1 and was questioned for nearly four hours. According to The Hindu report, Dulquer is yet to ask for the interim release of the remaining vehicles. They are also looking for more information on luxury vehicles linked to the investigation. It is also suggested that the actor could be asked to produce the other high-end vehicles in his possession before the investigators.

Officials are also said to have questioned the ‘I’m Game’ actor about several luxury vehicles that are under investigation. He had previously been granted bail for two of the four vehicles that were seized during the trial. The investigation is being conducted as part of Operation Numkoor, a nationwide investigation into the alleged trafficking of high-end vehicles.According to Dulquer’s petition, one of the vehicles is a 2004 model Land Rover Defender. The petition says the vehicle had been legally authorized through a bill of entry for domestic consumption presented by the ICRC as consignee.
Dulquer Salmaan expresses concern about publicity
In his plea, Dulquer Salmaan also said that media coverage of the seizure had affected his image. The petition said: “Publicity was given to the media for acquired reasons about the seizure, and the vehicle was depicted as being among a number of other vehicles used for smuggling, transporting drugs, contraband and anti-state activities. This has cast the petitioner in a bad light, affecting his reputation.“Meanwhile, on the work front, Dulquer Salmaan is gearing up for the release of ‘I’m Game’, directed by Nahas Hidhayath.
