The South Indian Film Editors’ Association had earlier suspended Pradeep Raghav for allegedly violating its bylaws during the making of ‘Jana Nayagan’. The organization also added that while it was not directly involved in the film’s online release, it admitted that its negligence contributed to the problem. In response, Pradeep Raghav apologized to the organization in writing, reports Dinamalar. After reviewing his explanation, the Executive Committee decided to revoke the suspension. Association president Gopi later confirmed that disciplinary action against him had been officially withdrawn.

An interim order was passed to stop the circulation of the leaked video on social media, other online platforms and cable television. Although Pradeep Raghav was not involved in the leak, the Publishers Association took his lack of caution regarding the leak very seriously.
