In a hilarious moment, he explains that the filmmakers had shot part of the film but didn’t know exactly where to place it, so they decided to show it after the interval board. The sequence is then followed by the song ‘Kyun’, featuring Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani.

The response to the initiative has been enthusiastic. According to the Bollywood Hungama report, “It’s an experiment that seems to have worked. The paid previews of the film took place yesterday, June 25, from 7:30 PM onwards, and the response to this initiative has been positive. It elicited a lot of laughter. Many viewers, who had gotten up to rush to the toilet, immediately took Aktshay to the toilet or to have a snack. They enjoyed the visuals of the song and then they left.”
How did the theaters keep the surprise intact?
The experience was carefully orchestrated. The report added, “It appears that the distributors also instructed theaters not to turn on the lights when the interval board appears on the screen and also while ‘Kyun’ is playing. As a result, the surprise was preserved and the audience was able to experience the sequence in the way the creators intended.”
