Citroen India has launched the new Citroen e-C3X electric car in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is also offering an optional Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan for the 2026 eC3X, which reduces the purchase price of the vehicle to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage charges are Rs 2.26 per km. Interested customers can book the electric vehicle online or visit their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Citroën eC3X has had its exterior and interior revised, with additional convenience features added and now has a greater range. It is available in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine. This electric hatchback competes with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet in the Indian market. Let’s talk about the battery first. The 2026 eC3X continues to be equipped with a 29.2kWh battery pack. It is said that the MIDC certified cruising range is 325 kilometers, which is 79 kilometers higher than the previous version. Drive is sent to the front wheels via an electric motor rated at 57 hp and 143 Nm. The electric vehicle accelerates from 0-60 km/h in just 6.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 107 km/h. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. Charging the battery from 10% to 100% using an AC charger takes 10 hours and 30 minutes, while a DC fast charger can boost the battery from 10% to 80% in 57 minutes.

The 2026 eC3X gets a number of feature and design updates, including projector LED headlights, new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and power-folding, power-adjustable ORVMs. It retains the V-shaped LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, body cladding, wheel arch moldings, halogen fog lights and skid plate style bumper inserts.The cabin now features a two-tone blue and beige color scheme and leatherette seat upholstery, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New features include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, dash cam and six-speaker JBL audio system. Dash cam and JBL setup are available as accessories.Safety features include six airbags on top models and four airbags on lower trims. Existing equipment such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual air conditioning, rear wiper and sensor-based reversing camera are carried over.
