Maria Avila was attacked by Hades, a Caucasian shepherd, in 2020, which the singer had kept as a guard dog at his Tarzana property. The incident left her with significant injuries to her face and arm, which required extensive medical treatment, including stitches and skin grafts.Rolling Stone also previously reported that Brown fled the scene shortly after the attack, leaving his other employees to take care of Avila at the time. US$885,000 was also awarded to Patricia Avila, her sister, who was also at the singer’s home at the time of the incident.
