During one of his recent interviews on ‘The Megyn Kelly Show’, the actor commented on his ex-wife and his current partner. Brand joked about Perry and Trudeau’s romance, commenting, “I’ve put up with a lot with this ex-wife of mine, but you took it too far, KP.” Brand continued his jab, saying: “Orlando Bloom, I love this guy. Great. Justin Trudeau, but potentially the birth of Fidel Castro. No, we draw the line here.“

I was fine with Orlando Bloom, but with Justin Trudeau? Come on, man. Don’t put me in a category with that guy! Perry and Brand’s relationship lasted about two years. The two met in September 2009, while she was filming a small cameo for his movie, ‘Get Him to the Greek’. After dating for four months, they got engaged. Almost a year later, they traveled to Rajasthan, India for their wedding ceremony on October 23, 2010. After being married for a year, Brand revealed in December 2011 that the two had called it quits. While speaking with Howard Stern on his show at the time, the actor shared that while he loved Perry, he felt like their relationship wasn’t working for either of them. The two finalized their divorce in July 2012.
