“I would forgive, but I could not forget”
Mouni revealed that while forgiving others came naturally to her even when she was younger, forgetting the pain was often much more difficult.“When I was much younger, I forgave very easily and until now, I did, but I couldn’t forget. Now, I think with my own personal and spiritual journey, I feel like you just have to forgive, God makes you forget,” she said.The actress suggested that healing is made easier when people stop holding on to past hurts and move on.
“You will be the one who will hurt the most”
Explaining why she chooses not to hold on to resentment, Mouni likened it to carrying a burden that ultimately harms the person holding it.“If you don’t let it go, you’ll be the one who hurts you the most. And sometimes the other person who hurts you doesn’t even think about it, no matter how much they’ve caused you,” he said.According to Mouni, practices like meditation, chanting and spirituality have helped her find peace and perspective over time.
