NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli was named in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming tour of England after missing the Afghanistan series through injury. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the squad on Sunday. However, Virat KohliParticipation in the much awaited ODI series is subject to fitness clearance.India will play the three ODIs against England at Edgbaston (July 14), Sophia Gardens (July 16) and Lord’s (July 19).Jasprit Bumrah is also back in the ODI setup. The fast bowler has been rested for both the one-off Test and the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan as part of the BCCI’s work-management plan.Kohli suffered a hamstring injury during the final of IPL 2026 and was subsequently ruled out of the ODI series against Afghanistan.Allrounder Axar Patel has returned to the ODI squad after missing the Afghanistan series. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj were not included in the squad for the England tour.Gurnoor Brar retained his place in the team.
