Sharing the footage, Tom wrote a thoughtful caption that read: “Over the past 46 years, it’s been my privilege to work alongside countless talented artists and teams to create these characters, stories and movies for all of you. I can’t wait to see you in theaters! DIGGER.” Only in theaters this October.”A newly released clip not only teases fans with some footage from the upcoming film, but also celebrates Cruise’s remarkable nearly five-decade career. The footage gives fans a look at Cruise as Digger Rockwell, a larger-than-life figure said to be the most powerful man in the world. Far removed from the action hero persona that has defined much of his recent work, the role seems to place Cruise in a dark, comedic, unpredictable and unconventional world.
