The Staff Selection Commission has reopened the application window for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026 after receiving several applications from candidates who could not complete their registration before the deadline.The SSC released the notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026 on May 21, 2026, and kept the online application process open until June 22, 2026. According to the Commission, more than 28 lakh candidates have submitted their applications during this period, which shows the popularity of one of the largest examinations in India.Despite the large number of applicants, the agency said it received several letters from candidates citing various problems that prevented them from completing their applications before the deadline. Keeping this in mind, SSC has decided to provide another opportunity to the eligible candidates.
The application window is open until June 25
According to the latest announcement, the online application portal has been reopened for two days. Candidates can now submit their applications from June 23, 2026, 11:00 PM, to June 25, 2026, 11:00 PM.The board has also reviewed the timing of the examination. Since the last date of registration has been extended, the new closing date of June 25, 2026, will now be considered as the most important date to know what to do wherever there is an exam notification.
The deadline for payment of fees has been extended
Candidates who have submitted their applications late will be able to pay online till June 26, 2026, at 11:00 PM.SSC has advised the applicants to complete the registration and payment of fees before the due date to avoid last minute technical problems or heavy traffic on the portal.
The control dates have been changed
The expansion has also led to changes in the programming process. The ‘Window for Application Form Correction’ will now remain open from July 1 to July 3, 2026, until 11:00 PM.This facility will allow candidates to review and correct the admissions in their application forms before proceeding to the next stage.
There are no other changes in the exam information
Apart from the revised application dates, the organization has also clarified that all other information mentioned in the original notification for the Combined Graduate Level Examination 2026 that was issued on May 21 will not change.The SSC CGL exam is one of the most sought-after exams in the country, attracting graduates every year to get jobs in various Government departments and ministries.
