The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed after candidates raised concerns over the conflict in the exam date.
The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed till July 5 after some of the candidates protested against the test dates, officials said on Tuesday.OTET, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), is scheduled to be held on June 28. However, the candidates reported that the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had rescheduled the recruitment exam for various posts on the same day.Taking into account the concerns of the aspirants, BSE decided to revise the OTET. Officials said the exam will now be held on July 5.According to the revised schedule, Paper-I will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am, while Paper-II will be held from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.The controversy of the day took place after the OSSSC exam was moved from June 20 to June 28 due to administrative reasons. Following protests by candidates who are planning to appear for both the exams, BSE has changed the OTET date so that they do not coincide.
