Gurfateh went a step further and urged people to discuss the protest with the same enthusiasm they would have for the plot of ‘Dhurandhar 3’.
Gurfateh’s message on the Delhi protests
As students took to the streets of New Delhi in protest on Monday, Gurfateh took to Instagram to express his support, writing: “Jaago desh, jaago. Ek baar phir kranti aayi hai. (Indian flag and fist emojis).” (Wake up, country, wake up. Once again, the revolution is here.) He also used his stories to amplify protest posts, noting that the movement has grown beyond the Janata Party of Cockroaches or Sonam Wangchuk.

On her Instagram stories, she made her stand clear and wrote, “Honestly, there is only one right side. And YOU should be talking about it like it’s Dhurandhar 3.” On Monday, he also shared pictures and videos of the crowd that had gathered at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park for the protest. A picture showed that Pratibha Ranta and singer Akasa Singh were also present at the rally.

Protests enter second day in Mumbai and other cities
Mumbai and several other cities are now witnessing the second day of protests, which began in New Delhi when the Cockroach Janata Party marched from Jantar Mantar to Parliament on the opening day of the monsoon session. Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike, was arrested by the police on Saturday.

According to PTI, police detained several protesters in central Mumbai on Monday. They had gathered at Chaityabhoomi, where BR Ambedkar was cremated, to support activist Sonam Wangchuk and CJP’s Sansad Chalo’s march.

Various places in the city also witnessed protests demanding the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhanresignation, with demonstrations near Chaityabhoomi in Shivaji Park. One protester claimed that some participants were arrested even before they could reach the site.
