Actor Silambarasan popularly known as Simbu has shared an update about his upcoming film ‘Arasan’. The actor announced that the team has completed one of the biggest shooting schedules of the film after working non-stop for over two months.

Simbu took to his Instagram account to share a short video on social media. In the video, he is seen shaking hands with the director Vitri Maaran after the schedule was over. The film’s cinematographer also thanked the entire team for their support and hard work.Simbu wrote, “This is a wrap to a great, amazing schedule for #Arasan. Time to recharge, recover, see some light & prepare for what’s to come.”The actor had resumed shooting for ‘Arasan’ on April 25. Since then, most of the filming was done at night. A few days ago, Simbu shared that the continuous night shoots had affected his daily routine.He wrote: “2+ months of continuous night shooting. My circadian rhythm is officially messed up.”He had also shared a picture with director Vetri Maaran and action choreographer Peter Hain and wrote, “Arasan in action mode.” The team was filming major action scenes during this schedule.

Cast of ‘Arasan’

Talking about the cast, it includes Vijay Sethupathi, Samuthirakani, Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Yogi Babu in important roles. The first shooting schedule was completed in Kovilpatti last year before the shooting continued in Chennai. The music is composed by Anirudh.

Promotion of ‘Arasan’

The promotion of the film presented an interesting story set in the world of ‘Vada Chennai’. In the video, Simbu tells director Nelson that the story is based on real people and real places. It also says, “If you post a disclaimer, even if the incidents shown in the film are true, no one can question you.”The promo later shows Simbu in court after being accused of three murders. He says he is not guilty, but the scenes that follow raise many questions about the truth.
