Speaking to India Today, Sham Kaushal, 70, was candid about his bond with grandson Vihaan, born to Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif on November 7, 2025. The proud grandfather said the baby has brought a new kind of happiness into his life.He said: “He’s changed my life. Whenever I’m busy with work and I can’t hug him physically, I make a couple of video calls with him and talk to him. He’s really nice. I thank God as much as I can.”When asked if Vihaan is facing Vicky or Katrina, Sham had a clear answer. He said: “I think she looks like Vicky.”

Sham Kaushal calls himself blessed, credits his family

Sham Kaushal also reflected on how lucky he feels to have the family he has today. He said: “There are so many parents in the world who are blessed by their children. I am one of them. I never imagined all this. I have two wonderful children, and my daughter-in-law is very nice. I thank God.”

Sham Kaushal has no plans to retire

Although his sons urged him to slow down, Sham made it clear that he has no intention of stopping. “They keep telling me to stop working. But what am I going to do if I don’t work? I’ve been working since I was nine. What am I going to do after I have tea and breakfast?” he said laughing.He added that his relationship with work has changed over the years. He said: “I used to work insecurely. I had to take care of my family and my children. Now I’m in a safe zone. I don’t have to worry about money. I’m working with good people, and I’m enjoying it more.”
