Integrated M.Tech. student of the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-Bangalore) has got an annual package of Rs 1.5 crore, the highest among the 2026 Graduates. Two other students from the institute received Rs 1.3 crore each, with over 22 students getting annual packages of over Rs 60 lakh.The result of the center was announced that IIIT-Bangalore awarded degrees to 316 students at its 26th annual convocation on Saturday. The graduating class consisted of 95 students from Integrated M.Tech. (B.Tech. + M.Tech.) programs, 175 from M.Tech., 32 from MS and Research by 14 PhD scholars.The effectiveness of education and trainingAccording to the agency, 27 students received an annual package between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, while over 110 students earned more than Rs 20 lakh per year.The meeting also marked a milestone in the academic journey of the school by graduating its 100th PhD, Dr. Vikas, a neurosurgeon from NIMHANS, who completed doctoral research in Computer Science and Engineering. The school also passed the milestone of 5,000 alumni.Several students were recognized for their academic excellence. Singuru Manognya received the Institute Gold Medal for M.Tech., while Subhajeet Lahiri received the Institute Gold Medal for Integrated M.Tech. Siddharth Kothari and Yukta Arvind Rajapur were honored as the best male and female outgoing students, respectively.

The Director focuses on innovation and researchAddressing the graduating students, IIIT-Bangalore Director Dr Debabrata Das said the Class of 2026 had distinguished itself in academics, research, innovation and entrepreneurship.“The graduating class of 2026 has shown exceptional skills, perseverance, and the spirit of technology in education, research, business, sports, and the arts. As our graduates embark on their next journey, I encourage them to remain curious, accept lifelong learning, and use technology with purpose and responsibility. This year’s theme reflects true faith, “Wcell Christmas”, not “True Faith”. for success at work and for creating good in society,” he said.Professor Rajat Moona, Director of IIT Gandhinagar, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Dr. V. Veerappan, Co-founder and President of Tessolve Semiconductor and President of ELCITA, was present as the guest of honour. IIIT-Bangalore highlighted its Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) initiatives, saying that its DPI infrastructure is being used in over 40 countries, while the institute’s global Tele-MANS health platform has handled over 40 lakh calls.
