The accused allegedly claimed that the shooting at Shetty’s house in Juhu was just a trailer of things to come. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang has allegedly given Rohit a stern ultimatum through the audio clip, demanding that he pay an extortion amount of Rs 20 crore or face dire consequences.

According to the police, the matter came to light on Saturday morning when Shetty’s staff stumbled upon an audio clip lasting approximately 90 seconds. Investigators believe the voice in the clip belongs Shubham Lonkar, a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is already a wanted criminal. Lonkar is wanted by the authorities in connection with two serious cases, the killing of leader Baba Siddiqui in 2024 and the firing incident that took place outside Rohit’s residence in Juhu in February 2026.

A Mumbai Crime Branch official confirmed that Shetty’s staff wasted no time and quickly handed over the audio clip to the police for investigation. In February, Rohit’s Juhu residence was targeted in a shocking attack when five bullets were fired outside his house near Hasya Kalakar Mehmood Chowk. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang had proudly claimed responsibility for the attack soon after. The shots were fired by Deepak Sharmawho arrived at the spot on a bicycle and opened fire before fleeing. He was later located and arrested by the authorities in Agra.
What happened to the chargesheet filed in Rohit Shetty’s Juhu sacking case?
In April, the Mumbai Crime Branch filed a massive 1,624-page charge sheet in connection with the shooting incident. A total of 15 accused were named in the charge sheet. Of these, two individuals, Pravin Lonkar and Aarzo Bishnoi, were declared fugitives, meaning they have not yet been captured and are still on the run from the authorities.
