National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 today, July 16. Candidates who appeared in the medical entrance test can download their admit cards from the official website, net.nta.nic.in.According to the NTA, about 20 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, which was held on June 21, 2026. Out of them, more than 11.21 lakh candidates were admitted to higher education in medicine, dentistry, AYUSH and allied courses.The board has said that the results have been announced on time to ensure that counseling and admissions to medical colleges start as per the schedule.
NEET UG 2026: an overview
NEET UG 2026 was conducted in 5,440 examination centers in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The exam was held in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese and Urdu.More than 58 percent of the eligible are women. The NTA also said that most of the top performers are between the ages of 17 and 19.
NEET UG 2026 above
A score of 715 out of 720 was secured by Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana.138 people got more than 690 marks, while 19 got more than 700 marks.Among the top 138 people:
- More than 93 percent appeared for NEET UG first time.
- About 99 percent are between the ages of 17 and 19.
The top 17 candidates, who scored more than 705 marks, are from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

- 1,492 candidates scored 650 and above.
- 10,160 candidates scored 600 and above.
- 90,780 followers scored 500 and above.

The NTA said it completed its results through a revised system that allowed multiple sessions to run simultaneously.His time was as follows:
- The provisional answer key was released on June 25, the opposition window will be open until June 28.
- Scanned Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheets and recorded answers were displayed from July 13 to July 15.
- The final answer key and all the results were released on July 16.
Counseling details
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct counseling for 15 percent All India Quota seats in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). Advising on government seats will be done by government officials.The NTA has advised candidates to rely only on websites for advice and to warn them of fake calls, messages or websites that claim to accept, block seats or improve performance. The agency explained that it does not ask applicants for money or personal information.
