Mr Kiran Abbavaram Sri Gouri Priya‘Chennai Love Story’ continued its theatrical journey with improved collections on the first Saturday.According to Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 5.50 crore nett on day 2. This is an increase of 11.1% over its opening day collection of Rs 4.95 crore.
The worldwide collection is over Rs 15 crore
‘Chennai Love Story’ has taken its India net collection to Rs 10.45 crore. The film’s Indian gross now stands at Rs 12.02 crore after two days in theatres.The romantic drama grossed Rs 1.20 crore internationally on Day 2. This has taken its overseas total to Rs 3.80 crore. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross has reached Rs 15.82 crore.
Occupancy improves in Telugu theatres
The Telugu version reported encouraging employment figures on Saturday. It registered an overall occupancy of 57.92%.Night shows recorded the highest occupancy with 59.69%. The night shows followed with 51.46% while the afternoon shows were at 51.15%. Morning shows recorded 38.00% occupancy.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana lead
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 5.50 crore gross. Karnataka added 70 lakhs while Rest of India contributed 10 lakhs. Tamil Nadu collected Rs 2 lakh, and Kerala added Rs 1 lakh. Together, these markets helped the film register a Day 2 gross in India of Rs 6.33 crore.
