The countdown has officially begun for the official trailer release of ‘Ramayana‘, one of the most ambitious films in Indian cinema.The creators of Nitesh Tiwari‘Ramayana’ has announced that the much-anticipated trailer of the film will be released worldwide on July 24, 2026, marking the “beginning of the global journey of the epic”.

Sharing the announcement on social media, the team released a statement that said, “For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now a new journey begins. One of the greatest civilizational epics of Bharat, presented to the world on a scale never before attempted in Indian cinema.”The ad concluded by confirming, “Ramayana Trailer Releases Worldwide on 24th July.”

This comes just days after Variety India reported that the film’s trailer will be released a week earlier in India on July 18 at a grand event in Delhi. However, now according to the latest update, the global trailer release of the Ranbir Kapoor, Yash i Sai Pallavi starrrer, readying it in time for its release at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2026, where producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari and the leading men are scheduled to participate in an exclusive panel.An official listing of Comic-Con 2026 shared that “Ramayana” will be unveiled on July 23 (July 24 IST). The presentation is scheduled for 3:15 PM in Ballroom 20, San Diego Comic-Con’s second largest venue, which has a capacity of approximately 4,800 attendees. The venue is second only to the convention’s iconic Hall H and is traditionally reserved for some of the event’s biggest studio presentations.
‘Ramayana’ cast and release date
The film has been assembled as a two-part adaptation of the old Indian epic that not only has an all-star cast but also a budget, which is reportedly over Rs 4,000 crore.‘Ramayana’ will see Ranbir Kapoor play Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, while Yash plays Ravana. The cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, along with Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chaddha and Arun Govil in pivotal roles.“Ramayana: Part I” is slated to hit theaters during Diwali 2026, while “Ramayana: Part II” is slated to hit theaters in Diwali 2027.
