Talking about Vijay, Rakhi said, “Look at Thalapathy Vijay and everyone should be ashamed. He is doing such a great job. We should have CMs and PMs like him. The good work he had done in movies, he is doing in real life too (Thalapathy Vijay ko dekko! kuch toh sharam karo. CM ho toh Vijay jaisa ho, PM ho toh Vijay jaisa ho. I film mein karte hai, woh real life mein bhi kar rahe hai).Meanwhile, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has started its theatrical run on a good note. According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, the film collected Rs 41 crore nett in India on its opening day.The film was screened in 13,067 shows across the country on Day 1. It grossed around Rs 48.27 crore in the domestic market. Overseas territories contributed another Rs 30 crore, taking the film’s worldwide gross to Rs 78.27 crore on its opening day.The Tamil version emerged as the highest grosser, collecting Rs 36.50 crore nett. The Telugu version added Rs 2.75 crore while the Hindi version brought in Rs 1.75 crore. Across all languages, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 41.6%, with Tamil Nadu remains its strongest market.

Directed by H. Vinoth, ‘Jana Nayagan’ stars Thalapathy Vijay as Vetri Kondan, a retired IPS officer who fulfills a promise made to his late friend. He takes on the responsibility of mentoring his friend’s daughter and helps her pursue her dream of joining the Indian Army despite the trauma she has endured.The film also stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Priyamani and Mamitha Baiju in pivotal roles.
