According to a report by Cinema Express, Preity Mukhundhan during a promotional event for her upcoming film release ‘Idhayam Murali’ said, “Blast was an unconventional decision. Many heroines in my position would have dreaded taking on a role like this.” She said she had always wanted to play an action role and was grateful for the love the film received after its release. “I’ve always wanted to do an action-oriented role, so I was very happy and grateful for the response from the audience after the release,” she added.Talking about the movie, ‘Blast’ tells the story of a family of fighters who get caught up in a bigger conspiracy. They are forced to fight against a crime syndicate in order to protect themselves and survive.

During the event, Preity Mukhundhan was asked if her role in ‘Idhayam Murali’ would be similar to Blast, Preity said that the two characters are completely different.She said, “I had signed Idhayam Murali even before doing Blast, and my character in this film will be much more likable and will be a complete contrast to what the audience saw in Blast.”Directed by Aakash Bhaskaran, ‘Idhayam Murali’ stars Atharvaa in the lead role. The film also features Kayadu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline It is scheduled to open in theaters on July 10.
