Just two months after revealing her permanent move to Mumbai to pursue acting again, Meenakshi has landed a role in a Prime Video series. ‘Nanavati vs Nanavati’ marks a reunion with Jackie, his co-star from ‘Hero’ (1983), the film that gave him a big hit early in his career.

According to Midday, the eight-episode series, directed by Vipul Shah, is currently being shot at the Andheri West Stock Exchange, with an impressive cast rounded out by Bhagyashree, Ram Kapoor and Anupriya Goenka. Reuniting Meenakshi and Jackie, the hit couple of the 1980s after four decades, is one of the biggest talking points of the show. Their scenes are expected to tap into the nostalgia associated with Hero, while placing them in age-appropriate characters. Bhagyashree and Ram will play the other couple. As Ram is in another show right now, he will join the shoot later. The main schedule is expected to be held in Powai.
