Nafisa Ali revealed that ‘Max, Min and Meowzaki’ deals with issues that affect young people, such as mental health, heartbreak and emotional struggles, as well as the realities of ageing. “Aging is a reality, and there are many issues related to which we think very little. It is important to remove this sensitivity. Nafisa Ali’s battle against cancer
Nafisa Ali was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal and ovarian cancer in 2018 and went into remission. However, the devastating disease returned last year. Opening up about how she went through the pain and the diagnosis, she said, “I knew my stomach pain was cancer, but the doctors weren’t able to diagnose, and that led to stage 4. I came back to Delhi after two months and told my doctor, ‘I don’t agree with your diagnosis.’ There must be something wrong with me,” during a previous interview with Fit Tak.Ali broke down in front of the doctor, sharing that she had been misdiagnosed. “I got really angry. I actually cried in front of the doctor and said, ‘I’m the last person to go to the doctor, and if I’ve been coming repeatedly, you have to take it seriously,'” she said, recalling how professionals finally caught on to her illness.
