When that donation hits our bank account, we’ll be able to bulk order and restock and know we’ll be supported by the community for the rest of the year.” He estimated his running costs for this year will be £700,000.Two weeks before the donation, the charity had posted online about funding shortages and “empty shelves” and had put out a public appeal for donations of electric meals for those in need, as needed supplies were running out.
