After Farah finished her gifting session, Shreyas and his wife found themselves surrounded by loads of goodies. The warm moment prompted Shreyas to share an emotional personal story, revealing that it was Om Shanti Om who made it possible for him to buy his first home. Farah was visibly surprised and said she was excited to hear it. Shreyas recalled, “Mein bank gaya tha but loan eligibility nhi tha mera and then the banker said, “Kaunsi film kr raha h? Maine kaha Om Shanti Om, usne poocha kaun hai usmein? The bank officer asked me: ‘What film are you working on?’ I said, “Om Shanti Om.” Then he asked, “Who stars in it?”), I said Shah Rukh Khanhe asked who leads? I said Farah Khan. She said can you give me a letter?”.

Shreyas went on to explain how both Farah and Shah Rukh Khan stepped in to help him get the loan approved. He added, “I called Farah and she got a letter from Shah Rukh Khan within two days and they sanctioned the loan that night.” Farah couldn’t help but react with a mixture of joy and humor on hearing the story, saying, “I’m so happy because humne tujhe kya hi paise diye honge Om Shanti Om ke (We probably don’t even pay you much for Om Shanti Om).“
About ‘Om Shanti Om’ and its box office success
‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by Farah Khan and produced under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, featured Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role opposite Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut with the film. Released in 2007, it became one of the biggest box-office hits of that year, gaining widespread acclaim for its music and memorable dialogues.
