MCC NEET UG 2026: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) is supposed to release the official counseling schedule for NEET UG 2026. Following the announcement of the Re-NEET UG 2026 result on July 16, 2026, the information is expected on the official MCC portal in the last week of July or early August.The guidelines will determine admissions to graduate medical programs at all participating public, private and accredited medical colleges. Seat matrix records expansionThe National Medical Commission has approved 9,911 additional seats for MBBS in the current admission process. The total intake in the country now stands at 1,36,939 seats in 823 medical colleges, excluding Institutes of National Importance. Of these, 63,296 seats are in government institutions and 73,643 are in private colleges. Current developments include 25 newly accredited medical colleges.Karnataka has the highest number of MBBS with 15,395 seats and also leads the private medical center with 10,995 seats. Maharashtra has the largest state legislature with 6,000 seats.Tests and qualification dataThe exam registered 22,79,155 candidates, out of which about 19,99,000 appeared for the re-examination. A total of 11,21,170 people took the course, which resulted in a national average of 56.08. The highest score was 715 out of 720, secured by AIR 1 Aryan Gupta of Punjab and AIR 2 Panshul Bansal of Haryana.
