Actor Matt Damon, 55, has been quite candid about his life over the past two years. While making the ‘Odyssey’ hit, the actor opened up about the changes in his life after turning 50, noting that things are much clearer now and that he’s been living a full life lately.

The famous actor recently opened up about how his life changed after celebrating his 50th birthday six years ago. While speaking with PEOPLE, the actor shared that getting older has forced him to recalibrate his priorities and provided him with some much-needed clarity in life.He added: “You get on the other side of 50, and for me at least, I really started to feel that time is the most precious commodity there is. I just want to be intentional about what I do with it and make sure I’m spending it exactly where I want to spend it.” He also shared that he now has three top priorities in life: “my family and my job,” as well as his nonprofit that provides clean water to those affected by poverty.For the uninitiated, Damon and his wife, Luciana Barroso, share four daughters: Alexia (27), Isabella (20), Gia (17) and Stella (15). While talking about her family, she shared that, “Having two older children who are out of the nest and knowing how fast these last few years are going, we’re trying to be mindful of maintaining what we can.” She also shared that she wants her film company, which she co-founded with her close friend, Ben Affleck, to grow as well.
Matt Damon admits that he has calmed down in his life
The actor revealed that things have slowed down quite a bit for him after turning 50. He added: “This is a very full life. I feel like I’ve calmed down a bit and I’m not chasing anything. I just want to do work that I think is really stellar on my own terms and on things that I really believe in.”He also added that as he gets older, a lot of things are now out of his control, which he has had to accept. Damon shared this: “I just try to think about what I can control and what I can’t. Instead of criticizing the gods about things I can’t control.”
