The film, which opened to decent numbers, has now entered its first weekday cycle and is experiencing the expected slowdown.According to Sacnilk, ‘Lenin’ earned around Rs 2.15 crore nett in India on first Wednesday. The latest figure marks a decline of 28.3% compared to Tuesday’s net collection of Rs 3.00 crore.

India collections cross Rs 34 crore after six days

The film was screened in 2,166 shows on 6. Including Wednesday’s earnings, ‘Lenin’ has now collected Rs 34.20 crore in net collections in India.Its gross collection in India has simultaneously risen to Rs 39.24 crore.

Worldwide gross inches closer to the Rs 50 crore milestone

The film also continued its overseas run on Wednesday. It added an estimated 35 lakhs from international markets.This takes Lenin’s overseas gross to Rs 9.15 crore after six days in theatres. The film’s worldwide gross now stands at Rs 48.39 crore.

Employment remains above 22%

The Telugu version of ‘Lenin’ recorded an overall occupancy of 22.23% on Wednesday.Morning shows recorded 18.85% occupancy. Evening shows improved to 23.15%. Night shows recorded 19.85% while night shows witnessed the highest daytime attendance at 24.15%.Karnataka added Rs 15 lakhs while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 2 lakhs. Rest of India accounted for another 3 lakhs in gross collections.

History of ‘Lenin’

The film is set in the fictional village of Bharatham Mitta in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. ‘Lenin’ follows the journey of an orphan raised by the village chief Jayyamma. As he grows up he falls in love with Bharathi. What initially appears to be a simple village drama gradually develops into a story of betrayal, revenge and hidden truths.
