The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise is set to expand yet again as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’ has officially entered development, with Kartik Aarya reprising his popular role as Rooh Baba. After the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, the makers have started working on the script and are expected to finalize a director before the production starts in 2027.

According to Pinkvilla, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’ is officially in the works, with Rooh Baba all set for another harrowing journey. With the blockbuster hit ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ (2024), Kartik Aaryan will return as the beloved ghostbuster, with the producer Bhushan Kumar directing the fourth installment. The script is currently in development, with the makers keen to finalize a solid script before they rope in a director. The horror-comedy is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2027. Priyadarshan directed the first film in the series, while Anees Bazmee he directed the next two, and will likely direct this one as well. An official announcement is expected once the script and director are finalised.

Meanwhile, the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise has managed to win over the audience with each installment. It started with the first film in 2007, followed by the second part 15 years later in 2022, and the third just two years later in 2024. All three films did well at the box office, and the third part, like the previous ones, got a positive response from the audience. The latest installment saw Kartik sharing the limelight with Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan.

On the work front, Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming projects include ‘Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand’, which is set to release in 2026, and an untitled romantic drama directed by Anurag Basu, in which he will star opposite Sreeleela. The actor is also attached to ‘Captain India’, directed by Shimit Amin, and an untitled sports drama directed by Kabir Khan.
