During the film’s re-release event, the filmmaker was asked if ‘Kushi 2’ could become a reality. Although she didn’t confirm any plans, her response has gone viral among fans, many of whom are wondering if the beloved love story will return to the big screen in a new form.
SJ Suryah shares his honest thoughts on ‘Kushi 2’
Answering questions about how to make “Kushi 2” with VijaySanjay’s son and Jyothika’s daughter SJ Suryah gave a thoughtful reply. “Some miracles can’t be created. They have to happen on their own. If God has planned it, everything will happen,” he said, News 18 reports. He also recalled how ‘Kushi’ came together in the first place. “When I narrated the story to Vijay, he didn’t react much. I thought he didn’t like it and even asked if I should narrate another story. But he simply said, ‘No, this is good. Let’s do this one. I was surprised that he expressed his approval so casually,” shared the director.
The director recalls the journey behind the success of ‘Kushi’.
SJ Suryah also reflected on what made ‘Kushi’ special. “The core idea of ’Kushi’ and the way the story was narrated were different. Deva’s music played a major role in the success of the film. The melody of ‘Kattipudi Kattipudi’ was inspired by the song ‘Senthamizh Then Mozhiyal’. If you sing this song faster, you will notice the similarity,” he explained. His comments gave fans a nostalgic look at the making of the blockbuster, which remains one of the biggest milestones in Vijay and Jyothika’s career.
