Vishnu Vishal i Aishwarya Lekshmi‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has completed the first phase of its theatrical journey and is now gearing up for its OTT release.The sports comedy sequel hit theaters on July 3, 2026 and is doing good business at the box office.
“Gatta Kusthi 2” OTT Release Details
Netflix officially announced earlier that it had acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights to the film. Once it concludes its theatrical run, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ will start streaming on the platform. The film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. An official date has not yet been announced.
The film registers positive weekend collections
According to Sacnilk trade estimates, the film collected around Rs 6.20 crore (net India) on 3rd day. This shows an increase of 25.3% compared to Rs 4.95 crore earned the previous day.The third day collections came from nearly 2,400 shows across India. The film’s cumulative India net collection has risen to Rs 13.85 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 15.93 crore.
Veera and Keerthi face a new challenge
The sequel continues the journey of Veera played by Vishnu Vishal and Keerthi played by Aishwarya Lekshmi. It follows the events of the original film.Veera encourages Keerthi to achieve her dream of becoming a national wrestling champion. Keerthi focuses on her education and carries out her duties as a government employee, while Veera manages her household.However, a twist in the story happens when a wrestling coach wants Keerthi’s career success.The couple’s marriage is under strain and this eventually leads to their separation. Veera is soon accused of being responsible for Keerthi’s mishaps.With an interesting plot, just like the first part, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ is also receiving good reviews from the viewers.
