The sequel focuses on the main couple as they navigate a new stage in their lives, with the husband fulfilling his promise to support his wife’s wrestling career.ETimes reviewed the film with the following verdict: “Chella Ayyavu fused the commercial formula of 1990s rural drama with 2020s political correctness in Gatta Kusthi, an entertaining comedy-drama. In its sequel, it takes a premise that sounds like something straight out of a 1980s Bhagyaraj film as Mouna Geethangal, who is separated by her partner and by its circumstance, and it makes for a mildly entertaining, largely predictable and unnecessarily drawn-out film.DISCLAIMER: Box office numbers and data in this article are collected from public and industry sources.
