‘Satluj’ starrer Diljit Dosanjh has made its way to piracy platforms just hours after it was pulled from streaming platform ZEE5 India.The biographical drama, based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, was pulled within hours of its OTT release in India “until further notice”, sparking outrage among fans. Soon after the streaming platform made the official announcement about the removal of the film from its site, fans took to social media to share that pirated versions of the film were available online for illegal download and streaming.

Several users took to their social media to share screenshots of the movie which is now available in various HD formats on various hacked websites. Some even resorted to actively sharing the link of pirated versions of the film, encouraging fans to watch the film.

Before his withdrawal, Dilji, in a live chat with fans, was asked about the possibility of his film being withdrawn after its live release. Reacting to the same, the actor brushed it off saying, “Hun tension nai, sab ne kar layi download,” before adding, “Main tension free baitha.”The actor even insisted that he had no qualms about the film possibly being leaked to pirate websites. “Today is Saturday. I think it might be taken down on Monday. But don’t worry, download it,” Diljit said in a video chat with fans.

Announcing the removal of the film from its streaming site, ZEE5 said, “In light of current developments, Satluj will not be available in India until further notice. We remain committed to exploring all appropriate avenues through due process to bring the film back to our audience at the earliest opportunity.”Directed by Honey Trehan, ‘Satluj’ also stars Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan.
