CBSE Class 12 re-checked results: When will the remaining students get their papers?
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to announce the remaining Class 12 results for review and verification, leaving many students anxiously waiting as the final dates for college admissions draw near.On June 21, the agency released the first part of the results, announcing the results of 87 percent of the requests received. However, the remaining students are still waiting for their revised marks. In a statement, CBSE said that the expected results will be released in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon.“CBSE has started releasing Class XII Verification of observed material and re-evaluation of results. The results are being released gradually, and more than 87% of the results received are announced today. The results of the remaining forms will be available in phases and the whole process is expected to be completed soon,” the agency said.Meanwhile, many students and parents have been expressing concern online over the delay. A parent wrote to the board, “Dear CBSE, we have not yet received the review results. This delay is affecting my son’s college admission process, and we are concerned that it will affect his registration. I request you to expedite the release of the review results.”The wait comes after the CBSE re-examination drew attention earlier this month, where some students complained about the Online Scanned Marking (OSM) machine and that the answer copies were not matching their notes.
When will CBSE refund the revaluation fee?
CBSE has not announced the exact date for refund of re-examination and verification fees. However, the agency has already said that refunds will be processed after the announcement of all the evaluation results.Students who are eligible for a refund, including cases of overpayment or double payment, will receive the funds in the original account, according to the board’s original notification. The CBSE also introduced the fee structure this year following allegations of irregularities in the evaluation of copies. Students have to pay Rs 100 to get hard copies of their answers and another Rs 100 to verify marks. Requests for corrections cost Rs 25 per query. Earlier, students had to pay Rs 700 for answers, Rs 500 for verification of marks, and Rs 100 for each contested question. The board has also decided to refund the full fee paid by the student if the marks increase after re-evaluation or verification. “We decided that if during the evaluation, the student’s marks increase or are revised upwards, we will refund all the money they paid for the evaluation,” it said.
