According to News18, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Rajmohan has temporarily allotted his Government Deputy quarters at Omandurar Government Estate in Chennai to Bava Lakshmanan. The report says that the minister supported the actor once he came to know about his problems. He was also reported to have told the veteran comedian that he could stay in the house for the next six months, during which he would concentrate on his recovery. It was further claimed that the minister assured the actor that he would help him find a house.

Bava Lakshmanan recently spoke about his struggle to get regular film work and how he has been depending on the financial help of actors Jiiva, Legend Saravanan and KPY Bala to meet his daily needs. He also said he didn’t have a decent place to stay and asked for help. The actor has been suffering from severe diabetes for the past few years and was recently treated at the Omandurar Government Hospital in Chennai, where he had to undergo amputation of three toes from one of his legs due to complications.
