Pawan Kalyan The ‘They Call Him OG’ starrer received a mixed response during his theatrical run. However, Thaman’s film’s music emerged as one of its most appreciated elements and expectations are high ever since the team has officially confirmed the sequel to Sujeethdirectory of Actor ‘Kaithi’ Arjun Das has expressed strong interest in returning for the sequel, though casting or any other details have yet to be officially confirmed. On the contrary, Arjun Das played a key role in the first half.
Initial Talks About ‘OG2’
Arjun Das clarified that the discussions surrounding OG2 are still in the early stages and no formal decision has been finalized on the cast or shooting schedule.He told IANS: “I guess she should be a part of it because she has asked me to take her to Mumbai and leave in the first part. But again, I think it’s too early as of now because we’ve just started discussions on the film.”Talking about his relationship with Pawan Kalyan, Arjun Das shared that he shares a warm bond with the actor and would easily join the project if approached. He stated, “Now I call her Annaya… So, if Annaya calls, I’ll be there. There’s no doubt about it.”
The production team refers to the development of the sequel
The production company has also indicated that a sequel is being considered, although the final call will depend on further discussions once director Sujeeth returns from his overseas commitments.The makers recently shared a tweet that read, “As promised, he will. Time will tell. Once @Sujeethsign returns from abroad, we’ll talk about it. #OG2”ETimes reviewed the film and gave it a 3-star rating, stating, “Director Sujeeth leans heavily on star power, often at the expense of layered storytelling and character arcs. Several subplots are undercooked, and familiar tropes like wife-murdering and daughter-kidnapping feel formulaic. Thaman’s soundtrack, however, injects energy into the action sequences.”The review further noted, “The film has its shortcomings in emotional depth and narrative finesse, but it still succeeds as a stylish action drama.”On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan’s previous outing was ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’ which received mixed reviews from fans and critics.
