Malayalam actress Anumol has opened up about her decision to remain single, saying she is happy with where she is in life. The actress revealed that she enjoys her independence and currently has no desire to share her personal space with another person.During an appearance on the ‘Isn’t It Lovely’ podcast, the actress opened up about relationships, marriage and the importance of emotional comfort. She explained that, at this stage in her life, being single has brought her happiness and peace of mind.
Anumol says she is productive and happy
Talking about her current phase in life, Anumol said that she has no regrets about remaining single. He also revealed that he had once been in a relationship, but it eventually ended.She said: “I’m productive and happy because I’m single. I tried to be in a relationship, but it didn’t work out. People at home were asking me when I was getting married. I think they’ve realized now that I might never get married. Still, whenever someone asks me about marriage, I jokingly tell them, ‘Find me a good man, you’ll pay for it too, if it costs you the wedding’. I’ll get married.”
Why it’s hard to share personal space
Anumol also explained why the idea of living with another person currently feels overwhelming. She said she values solitude and often needs time to recharge after spending several days with friends.Sharing her thoughts, she said, “Right now, the idea of sharing my personal space with another person is very difficult for me. Even if I spend five or six days with my close friends, I start to feel suffocated. After that, I have to go to a cafe alone, sit alone with a cup of coffee and load myself up. If I’m like that, how can I share my kitchen or suddenly my room or my bathroom? According to the actress, independence has become an important part of her personality. She believes it would take a significant adjustment to completely change this lifestyle.
Anumol’s definition of love may change over time
Although she is happy with her current life, Anumol did not rule out the possibility that her views may evolve in the future.She said, “I’ve lived independently for so long that I don’t know how such a sudden change would work in my life. Maybe as I get older and more mature, my definition of love might change.”
Now marriage means something different
Anumol also revealed that his idea of marriage has changed over the years.She said: “Before, when I thought about marriage, I imagined a big celebration with a saree, jasmine flowers and lots of guests. But now I tell my sister that if I ever get married, I’d rather have a small celebration with only the people who really love us. That’s enough for me.”Anumol is known for her performances in Malayalam films like ‘Ivan Megharoopan’, ‘Jamna Pyari’ and ‘Padmini’. Anumol has also gained recognition for his work in the Tamil web series ‘Ayali’ and ‘Heartbeat’.
