Tom Hardy releases first rap album
In collaboration with popular hip-hop supergroup Czarface, Tom Hardy will bring his rap persona, Face Puller, back to the main stage. While this isn’t the actor’s first foray into rap music, it will be his first official release in years. The actor went viral a few years ago after his 1999 rap mixtape was leaked online.Billboard reported that he will be working with Czarface, which consists of 7L & Esoteric and Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck. The title of the album has been set as ‘Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer’, and it is scheduled to be released on August 28th. To announce the release of the album, the group already released their lead single from the upcoming album titled ‘Brothers Grimm’.What makes this even more exciting is the fact that some of the collaborations on the album include Busta Rhymes, Method Man and EL-P (Jaime Meline). This won’t be the first time Hardy and Czarface have collaborated, as the star appears on some of the group’s tracks from their ‘Good Guys, Bad Guys’ EP.
About Busta Rhymes and Tom Hardy
In 2024, Busta Rhymes and Tom Hardy made headlines after the rapper visited the star on the set of his movie. Not only that, but she had also shared a post about their meeting online and at the time hinted that they would be working together soon. The caption read: “I keep telling you blessings no, so we will never, ever stop. The amazing Tom Hardy and the Dragon, stay tuned.”Hardy also mentioned that Rhymes is one of his inspirations for the voice he uses when playing Venom on the big screen. While talking to BBC Radio 1, he had stated that “I do a bit of Busta Rhymes, a bit of Method and Redman, a bit of James Brown, and a bit of an element of Richard Burton”.
Tom Hardy’s uncertain stage with ‘MobLand’
The news also comes at the same time as the actor’s uncertain future with ‘MobLand’. Since last month, there have been reports that the actor has been dropped from his lead role on the show as Harry Da Souza, the Harrigan family’s main fixer. Puck reported the news, mentioning that some of the reasons he was allegedly fired from the show included the fact that he was often late for work, tried to change dialogue, and also clashed with the show’s producers on several occasions.
