Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ continues to perform steadily despite facing new competition from Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’. More than three weeks after its theatrical release, the sports drama is still attracting audiences and adding to its overall collections. According to Sacnilk, the film earned 93 lakhs nett in India on the 23rd. The latest figure represents a 20.8% increase from the 77 lakhs collected on the 22nd.
India collections are close to Rs 240 crores
Earnings for the 23rd come from 1,399 shows nationwide. With the latest addition, Peddi has now grossed Rs 238.30 crore nett in India.Its gross in India has also reached Rs 281.85 crore. The film had already crossed the Rs 193.55 crore mark in its opening week. It added another Rs 34.45 crore in the second week and Rs 9.37 crore in the third week.
The worldwide gross climbs to Rs 334.75 crore
The overseas market has also contributed steadily to the film’s overall performance. ‘Peddi’ has now collected Rs 52.90 crore internationally. The film’s worldwide collection has climbed to Rs 334.75 crore.On the 23rd, the Telugu version recorded an overall occupancy of 22.83%. It recorded 17.70% occupancy during the morning shows, 27.10% in the afternoon, 18.90% in the evening and 23.60% during the night shows.The state gross for the 23rd stood at Rs 1.05 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the top contributors with Rs 1 crore. Karnataka added Rs 3 lakhs while Rest of India contributed Rs 2 lakhs.
‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ registers strong second Friday
While ‘Peddi’ maintained its run, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ enjoyed an excellent second Friday at the box office.According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 4.65 crore nett in India on 8th. This represents a 75.5% increase compared to the Rs 2.65 crore earned on the 7th.The strong growth has taken the film’s total Indian net collection to Rs 40.50 crore. Its gross in India has reached Rs 46.83 crore after eight days in theatres.‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’ also continued to earn from international markets. The film added Rs 35 lakhs overseas on 8th.Its overseas gross has now reached Rs 18.30 crore.
