'1.66 cr records scraped': Class 12 student Sarthak Sidhant, who pointed out irregularities in CBSE tenders, launches government portal for government procurement

Class 12 student Sarthak Sidhant, who recently grabbed the nation’s attention for his digital examination of CBSE, on Friday set up a government procurement portal after clearing nearly 1.66 crore documents from the government’s Central Public Procurement (CPP) Portal.“Transparency must be available. Starting today,” he wrote on X. “During the last 2 weeks, about 1 crore 66 lakh documents were removed from the government’s CPP Portal. The Nation’s procurement system is now available to all,” he said. Sidhant asked people to download the database and search it again. “Download the database and start digging deep. This is the beginning. More to come,” he added. Sidhant gained international attention after publishing a detailed blog on CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system and official documents linked to the digital assessment of Class 12 papers. The student from Ranchi started looking into the matter after getting his answer copies and seeing the difference in his marks. As many students complained about the transparency of the digital examination, they started comparing the various forms of CBSE procurement and examination papers available on government platforms. Sidhant says he has found a number of changes in various businesses, including changes in qualifications, working conditions and certification requirements. He said the change raises questions about the tender process. Sidhant also appeared before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, where he presented his findings and complained about the administration and the tender process.
