Made-in-India Renault Duster exports start to country: Details
Renault India today announced that it has started exporting the Indian-made Renault Duster SUV, with the first batch of 750 units setting sail from Chennai to South Africa. The company said this shipment marks the start of its next-generation Duster export program, with plans to expand exports to other international markets in the coming months. The milestone also highlights India’s growing importance in Groupe Renault’s global manufacturing and export operations.The new Renault Duster is available in five variants: Genuine, Evolution, Technology, Technology+ and Signature, priced from Rs 10.29 lakh to Rs 18.09 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). Pricing starts at Rs 10.29 lakh and is available for customers who book the car before March 2026; thereafter, standard prices start from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Duster is available in three engine options – 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The other engine is a 1.3-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 163 PS of power and 280 nm of torque, mated to either a 6-speed DCT or a 6-speed manual gearbox. There’s also a larger 1.8-liter hybrid gasoline engine with 109 horsepower, paired with a 49-horsepower electric motor and a 20-horsepower hybrid starter generator (HSG) with a 1.4-kilowatt-hour (280V) battery. Together, this configuration provides a combined system output of 160 hp and 172 Nm.In terms of design, Renault has made design changes for the new generation Duster for India, while retaining the overall silhouette of the third-generation global model. The India-spec SUV features redesigned headlights with eyebrow-shaped LED daytime running lights that also serve as turn signals. It features a revised grille with a prominent Duster badge that replaces the Renault badge, as well as a front bumper that uses prominent silver bezels and pixelated fog lamps.From the side, the Duster features black cladding on the wheel arches and lower bodywork, C-pillar mounted rear door handles and functional roof rails. At the rear, the triangular taillights are connected by an LED light bar, which is not seen in the global version. Other changes include a roof-mounted spoiler, textured license plate housing and a black rear bumper with silver inserts.Going inside, the Duster’s interior has been extensively redesigned for the Indian market. The India-spec version gets a new dashboard design with a dual-screen layout, soft-touch surfaces and revised decorative elements. The cabin features silver accents with contrasting green stitching, a dedicated button panel on the center console, a sliding adjustable front armrest with storage, and more. Features include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, power tailgate, 6-way power ventilated front seats, 48-color ambient lighting, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, multi-drive modes and more
